Bonnie Raitt On World Cafe

on July 27, 2016 No comments

Right from the beginning, Bonnie Raitt has had an ear for great songs. Over the years. she’s mined the work of John Prine, Jackson Browne, John Hiatt, Paul Brady and others. When she couldn’t find the right songs, she’d write them herself, and she’s sung them all with a soulful delivery.

That pattern continues on her 17th album, Dig In Deep, a masterful combination of funky R&B and heart songs. This performance with her longtime road band was recorded at this year’s Non-COMMvention in Philadelphia in May.
In this session, you’ll also hear an intimate conversation with Raitt about her career-defining 1989 album, Nick Of Time, and her continued love for performing live.
